Search Engine

UniHelp also features a built-in Search function for searching your help files by keyword or phrase. A boolean variable added to your RB code allows you to choose whether or not HTML tags are ignored in user searches.

Customize the Interface

UniHelp can be easily integrated into your REALbasic application by dragging the UniHelp Module and UniHelpGraphics folder into your RB Project Window and then adding only a few lines of code to customize the following:

• Help Window Title.
• Icon Colors for Help Categories.
• Assign external Help files to display within UniHelp.
• Designate a specific font to be used when displaying help files.
• Localize UniHelp's UI with built-in support for 6 languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German.

"UniHelp" and "Electric Butterfly" are never mentioned anywhere on the UniHelp interface, providing you with a full-featured generic Help solution -- your customers will think you built it yourself!

HTML Support

Assign external help files to be displayed within UniHelp, allowing you to make changes to your help files without ever needing to modify UniHelp. And since UniHelp also supports more than 20 HTML tags, you can format the look of your help files with basic HTML to create elegant Help pages that look good on both Macintosh and Windows. The Supported HTML Tags section of this Developer Guide lists all of the HTML tags that are supported by UniHelp, such as various styles, formatting, hyperlinks, images and multimedia.

Built-in Error Handling

If your user moves the help folder from your application's directory or accidentally renames the help folder or any of the help files within it, UniHelp includes built-in error handling for politely alerting the user to the problem.
